About Matrix Advanced Surveying
Matrix Advanced Surveying is a specialist survey company based at The Business Village in Barnsley. Our surveyors carry out topographic and land surveys, measured building surveys, structural inspections, movement monitoring, terrestrial laser scanning and drone surveys for clients across Yorkshire and the UK.
Our Story
Matrix Advanced Surveying started life inside Matrix Consulting Engineers, providing surveys for the engineering team’s own projects: bridges, buildings, earthworks and railway assets. As demand grew, we branched out to offer our survey services to clients of all kinds, while keeping a close working relationship with our sister company.
Today we combine traditional ground survey with laser scanning and drone technology, choosing the method that gives each client the accuracy they need at the right cost.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to provide accurate, dependable survey data, delivered on time and explained clearly. We use whichever method suits the job best, whether that is a total station, a laser scanner or a drone.
Our Team
Our survey team holds the qualifications needed to work safely on live infrastructure, including CAA drone qualifications (A2 CofC and GVC), PTS for working on the railway, CSCS cards and confined space training. We work closely with the civil and structural engineers at Matrix Consulting Engineers, so clients have engineering expertise on hand whenever they need it.
